    The Fix was in???????
So Drew Carey takes over today on the Price is Right (or is it Wrong now?)
He seemed a bit nervous. It seemed wierd watching it. Same stage, same games, same announcer, same models, same spade/neuter message. But alas no Bob, no standing ovation.

Drew is already batting a 1000 with a perfect game his first time out? And 2 folks win $1000 on the big wheel? Hmmmm. Did CBS throw softball pitches for this one? Was the fix in? Will Drew make it his own show? Will it last? Will people riot in the streets? Will Bob return for the occasional Prime time special. Am I just freaking lame for ranting on about a stoopid game show?
    Only time will tell.

    Jeopardy is on, gotta run

    Ready for the football
New college polls just came out today...
I see Auburn inched up one spot. Good.
Hmmm, who's missing from last week
I see Bobby Bowden, beaten by his own son, droped out. Only a fall from 19.
Seems to be someone else missing. Who could it be?
Ah here it is, No Wolverines.
Michigan posts the biggest poll plummet in history from 5 to nada.
    Now that's comedy.

In other news check what's coming soon to a DVD retailer near you. Most Excellent!

    I ask for so little...
...and man do I get it.

It doesn't take that much to entertain me but my favorite game shows have really let me down lately.

Bob Barker is gone,  but  repeats are still being  shown till the fall.  Work here has a TV in the break room so I can catch a bit every now and then.    So tt's still not hit home that he's gone just yet.  And  Drew  Carey "replacing" him is just down right blasphemous.  End the show already CBS.

Jeopardy  on the other hand really knows how to piss me off.
They just finished 2 weeks of  the lame Teen Tournament, only to start this week with "Celebrity " Jeopardy.
which  makes the Teen tournament look like the Grand Masters edition.  They ain't smarter than no 5th graders.
And why the fuck do they always have Regis Philben on it?
Is there a more annoying fuckstick  on TV?  (I thought not)
    The game's afoot Trebeck.

    Tales from the Economizer
So the sun came out today after a most shitty snow day yesterday, and I decided to walk the 8 blocks to get a morning newspaper. I don't have time today to hang out at the local coffee shop and read it for free. So I get to said newspaper machine, insert my 2 quarters and the door won't open, it's stuck. OK so i hit the return money button and what should fall out? Not only my 50 cents, but an extra quarter to boot. A machine that gives discounts? Cool! So now the paper's only gonna cost the Economizer 2 bits. I try again, this time the door opens (with a little persuasion). So I grab the last issue, close the door and hear another ching sound. Well now, in the return slot is yet another shiny quarter. Free paper! Woo-Hoo! The Economizer Strikes!!!!!

    Help control the pet population...
Wow, on Bob Barker today (that's "The Price is Right" for those of you not in the know) a dude won both showcases with a great bid. Missed it by only $89. Sure makes up for that paltry $100 a girl won playing "Plinko"

Yeap, a most productive day so far...

    Heads up!
Well , looks like old KingGene is gonna be making a visit down south real soon.
Seems my dad is in a bind , the shop downtown (for those of you in the know) on Meridian street, got sold, and my dad still has a bunch of auto stuff (junk really) stored down there. He has till Oct 1 to vacate. So he's flying me home (yay, free air fare) in Septemer for about 2 weeks to put my sorry ass to work, since I ain't got no real job right now.
Hope to see you all (you know who you are) in a couple of weeks. I may even buy a round of drinks.
Or run and hide, just consider yourself fairly warned.

    Slow day on the LJ
So that job I had, let's just say , easy come, easy go.
Just didn't work out, seems I wasn't "the right fit", so I'll just leave it at that.
At least I got paid to get up early and show up for 2 weeks.
So it's back to late nights and job hunting. On a brighter note I have had 2 interviews
    hopefully something will come along.

Maybe I could write that great american novel?
Or maybe I should just join the Forrest Servive and become a Park Ranger, no cube farm there.
