So Drew Carey takes over today on the Price is Right (or is it Wrong now?)
He seemed a bit nervous. It seemed wierd watching it. Same stage, same games, same announcer, same models, same spade/neuter message. But alas no Bob, no standing ovation.

Drew is already batting a 1000 with a perfect game his first time out? And 2 folks win $1000 on the big wheel? Hmmmm. Did CBS throw softball pitches for this one? Was the fix in? Will Drew make it his own show? Will it last? Will people riot in the streets? Will Bob return for the occasional Prime time special. Am I just freaking lame for ranting on about a stoopid game show?
Only time will tell.

Jeopardy is on, gotta run

Tales from the Economizer

So the sun came out today after a most shitty snow day yesterday, and I decided to walk the 8 blocks to get a morning newspaper. I don't have time today to hang out at the local coffee shop and read it for free. So I get to said newspaper machine, insert my 2 quarters and the door won't open, it's stuck. OK so i hit the return money button and what should fall out? Not only my 50 cents, but an extra quarter to boot. A machine that gives discounts? Cool! So now the paper's only gonna cost the Economizer 2 bits. I try again, this time the door opens (with a little persuasion). So I grab the last issue, close the door and hear another ching sound. Well now, in the return slot is yet another shiny quarter. Free paper! Woo-Hoo! The Economizer Strikes!!!!!

what the hell? July 29? where the hell did this month go?
I just bid audiu to June and wasn't the 4th just the other day?
You know I really don't mind getting older, (partial truth)
but why does time have to fly by so quickly. That's what really cranks my gears.

So my truck started leaking antifreeze yesterday. I just put in a new radiator 2 months ago. That's not the problem. Thought it might be the water pump. Nope. Turns out to be a crack in the main hose going into the thermostat. Yeap I got hosed. So I don't have time to fix till tonight. Looks like it's duct tape to the rescue. Wrapped the hose in question with it this morning, just a trickle now. Click and Clack would be so proud of me (actaully they would rag me to no end)
